From Ben - Enter the Colosseum It clicked. For a moment. The purpose. The why.  Not just in my head. But ingrained in what I truly desired.  We had been talking to this group of teenagers who didn't really have much of a care about what we shared about God and Christ.  They had a fun time with each-other while we talked with them, giving each the sly eye, the small grins that suggested it was wild two missionaries were talking with them. I'm pretty sure they thought it a funny adventure that these two young fellows, not much older then them, (and definitely shorter) were attempting to explain why they should explore the person called Christ. They chuckled, made some sarcastic comments, and we parted ways.  One thing caught my eye in the midst of the conversation however.  One of the girls in this group of friends had it tough.  She had the 'go with the crowd' kind of laugh whenever a joke was made, but it was pretty hollow.  She really didn't say anyth...

From Ben - An Unexpected Party Headaches are lame. Logically, my body knows that it has physical strength and stamina, but realistically, when the mind has become a trampoline for some really heavy thoughts, who have no regard for the weight limits or number of thoughts allowed on the trampoline, every task becomes far greater then it needs to be.  On Saturday the aches introduced themselves, and like the dwarves in Bilbo's hobbit hole at the start of his adventure, they made themselves welcome without my permission; and like Bilbo, I really couldn't do anything about it.  Then came the cousins and brothers by name of chills, weakness, then a very tall wizard by with the title of headache. From Ben - On Becoming Titans "Hmm, is there a place you could hide it? Like under a table or something?" "No, not that I can tell, its raining and I can't get in the building"  "Shoot... hmm... well, if there is nowhere to hide or place it... I guess... it's...yours then? "Give the company a call, maybe you can get your money back?" "Well, we can give it a try. Thanks though" "Yah, for sure. Hope it goes well  To which we hung up the conversation, and I shed a tear - and so did my empty wallet. We run into a fun challenge in the Sudbury Zone, that being, the maintainence of motivation from great distances.  Timmins is far North, North Bay is far East, and if one is not trained, or has developed the skill of being self motivated, it can be challenging when so isolated.  So, our fight is to 1) learn how to be self motivated ourselves, and 2) help others learn the same.  On this branch of thought, Elder Surdu and I learned that th...
